Explanation
Cup-ResultsBugbear's Wreckfest 2 has a bug that if you leave a server and rejoin while a cup is running, you most of the time lose all you points and are unable to gain points until a new cup starts. I deliberately ignore this fact in the re-calculations of the cup-points. So everyone who leaves and rejoins (at least in this website-counting) will still keep his points no matter what and will gain points in the following races. If you go DNF while racing, then it's the same as ingame: 0 points.
Elo-leaderboardIt is based on common systems of the market adjusted to fit the multiserver-premise. You
start with 1000 and going to be ranked 1:1 by every other player you drive against (or even over all 3 Servers).
You win against higher Elo-drivers, you gain more. You win against worse drivers, you gain less. You lose against worse drivers, you lose more points accordingly. You get scored on every server and between all of them(no mathematical average, a complete new evaluation between the drivers you could have driven against).
Clean-RatingIt is particularly created for Wreckfest 2. Every contact or bad behaviour is recognized and judged by systems in the background. Drive more clean, get a cleaner rating. The system always tries to re-evaluate what happened and adjusts the given plus- or minus-points. It's designed to be fair for everyone, short term drivers (can regain ther reputation if needed), long time drivers (won't be punished by driving much) and short changes in driving styles (one chaos race is not the end of the world). Still not perfectly balanced, but it s getting closer i guess.
LeagueBasically it works like a normal league system you expect from football(soccer) with a pinch of F1. You have your place in the league and on particular times (
every day on 12:00; 15:00; 18:00 and 21:00 CET/CEST; 2 hours runtime each phase) there are ranked games against each other. Since there are 3 servers, 3 leagues and many different participants the system works as follows:
In the timeframe where the league-phase is active you can gain points for winning races (
1st-10; 2nd-9; 3rd-8; 4th-7; 5th-6; 6th-5, 7th-4, 8th-3, 9th-2, 10th-1, nothing below 10th, with offset if there aren't 10 people on the server). Combined with the elo- and clean rating (extra-)systems you can gain a percentage bonus/penalty on top of your points (winning against better drivers=elo %+ , driving bad = CR %- etc., but never below the scores achieved). Points accumulate across the whole month (4 weeks = 28 days = 1 season) - promotion or relegation only happens once after week 4, based on your total points (
the 2 people in the playoffs are finally ranked by their 1st, 2nd or 3rd place-relations across the season, not necessarily over their points). After week 4, whoever is 1st-3rd place in the gold or the other leagues by total points is the Monthly Champion (in that league) and gets an exclusive badge on his dedicated profile. After the remaining rest days, the new season begins on the 1st of next month at 12 noon., again 4 weeks to become the new champ of the month.
Known bugs/under construction
- certain lap-/sector-times can be still wrong because some sectors measure wrong ingame
- sector-times can be also missing on profiles although you have a completed lap
- multiple #most wins per Track# in #Most 1st places#-statistic
- cup point-counting-system shows all participants (more than 24 sometimes) for the endresults (not that severe, but not intended)
- clean-rating and League point system, %-points and phase-timings are still subject to change if not fair or balanced enough overall
- Tournament-tab is coming when we find some time to work on it
- more statistics are going to be integrated, any suggestions?
This is still a hobby-project and made just4fun, so please don't be too harsh.
